At My Front Door

at my front door

Written by: Abner-Moore

Long ago, far away--
[Burp.] Excuse me.

[Crowd noises.]

Crazy little momma come a knockin'
Come a knockin' at my front door door door
Crazy little momma come a knockin'
Come a knockin' at my front door
Crazy little momma come a knock knock knockin'
Just like she did before

I woke up this mornin' with a feelin' of despair
Just lookin' for my baby but she wasn't there
Heard someone knockin' and much to my surprise
There stood my baby lookin' in my eyes
Crazy little momma come a knock knock knockin'
Just like she did before

Yeah, if you got a little momma and wanna keep her neat
Keep your little momma off my street
Same thing will happen like it did before
She come a knock knock knockin' at my door
Crazy little momma come a knock knock knockin'
Just like she did before

Just like she did before
Just like she did before

(Repeat 2nd verse)

"At My Front Door" from Son of Schmilsson is Harry's cover of the 1955 El Dorados' hit song - the first hit for the small Vee Jay label. The song was written by Ewart Abner and John Moore. At the
time, Ewart Abner was the general manager at Vee Jay (he later became president of the company). John Moore was the manager for The El Dorados.
